Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jang lands a head kick. Souirrel smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jang tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Souirrel is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jang throws a head kick but Souirrel moves out of range.
Jang doesn't manage to clinch there - Souirrel circles away.
Jang tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Souirrel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Souirrel holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Souirrel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jang throws a sloppy head kick and Souirrel moves out of range easily.
Souirrel shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Souirrel tries to land a front kick but Jang steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Jang is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jang tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Souirrel paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Souirrel shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jang as he jumps to the side.
Souirrel fails with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Jang was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Souirrel has a takedown stuffed.
Shik Jang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Syco Souirrel.
Jang checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Jang connects with a high kick.

Souirrel has Jang up against the cage in a clinch.
Souirrel lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jang backwards.
Souirrel is looking for a takedown.
Souirrel tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jang just stands there and leans against the cage.

Souirrel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jang moves in looking to clinch but Souirrel pushes him off.
Jang throws a sloppy head kick and Souirrel moves out of range easily.

Souirrel rushes Jang and presses him up against the cage.
Jang wants to get back to striking at distance but Souirrel won't allow it.
Jang throws an elbow but it's blocked.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jang tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Jang trying to control the position but instead, Souirrel has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jang into the cage.
Jang can't find room to land a body shot as Souirrel controls the action.
Jang tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Souirrel's elbow.

Souirrel pulls guard successfully.
Souirrel has his hands on Jang's head, controlling the position.

Souirrel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jang wants to stand and escape but instead Souirrel has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Souirrel won't allow Jang to get back to his feet.

Souirrel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jang swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Souirrel keeps trying to improve his position.

Jang is looking to stand up but Souirrel isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Souirrel won't allow Jang to get back to his feet.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jang wants to get back to his feet but Souirrel passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jang tries to kick Souirrel off but Souirrel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Souirrel is looking for a kimura here.
Jang pushes Souirrel off looking to stand but Souirrel dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jang throws a head kick but Souirrel moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Syco Souirrel will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jang connects with a high kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Jang! Souirrel is out on his feet! Jang rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Souirrel is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Souirrel is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
