PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Twan Lark (ranked 4423 p4p, 479 weight class) and Kirill Semenov (ranked 5030 p4p, 512 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lark tries to clinch but Semenov moves out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Semenov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Semenov lands a body shot.
Semenov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Semenov lands a nice shot that snaps Lark's head back.

Lark fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Semenov connects with a jab.
Semenov catches Lark with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Twan Lark has been cut.

Semenov connects with a right hand. Lark shakes it off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Semenov lands a glancing blow to the side of Lark's head.
Nice takedown defense from Semenov. No joy for Lark on that attempt.
Lark drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Semenov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Lark had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Lark takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lark walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Semenov sizes up Lark with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Semenov connects with a combination that backs up Lark into the cage. Semenov lands a flurry of punches that gets past Lark's guard. Lark is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Semenov bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

A less than humble Kirill Semenov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
