Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aivis Kargins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ayuh Maju!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kargins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kargins is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kargins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kargins walks into a left hand.
Kargins clinches with his opponent.
Kargins pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maju wants to pass the guard but Kargins is keeping the position.
Kargins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maju can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kargins has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Maju pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kargins is keeping the position for now.
Kargins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maju can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kargins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kargins moves into full mount! Maju won't be happy about that!
Maju wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kargins.
Maju has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Kargins's lack of action.
Kargins trying to control from half guard but Maju is working away.
Kargins stands up and beckons Maju to join him on the feet.

Kargins walks into a straight right hand from Maju.
Kargins needs to keep his hands up - Maju had a free shot at his head there.
Kargins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kargins takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Maju works Kargins's body with a nice hook.
Kargins takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kargins wants to clinch
and Maju makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kargins is breathing heavily.
Maju lands with a good body shot.
Aivis Kargins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kargins throws a sloppy head kick
and Kargins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Maju scores with a shot to the body.
Kargins walks into a stiff left hand from Maju.
Kargins takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Nice body punch from Maju.
Maju moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kargins is rocked!
Maju closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Kargins out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
