Yueng has chosen Stranglehold- Ted Nugent as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jani Koskinen has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jani Koskinen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bolo Yueng !
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koskinen lands a nice hook to Yueng 's body. Yueng takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Koskinen works Yueng 's body with a nice hook.
Koskinen stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Koskinen tests Yueng 's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Koskinen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Koskinen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Koskinen scores with a jab to the body.
Yueng takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Koskinen is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yueng has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Koskinen finds it's way round the side to connect with Yueng 's head.
A left lands for Koskinen.
Koskinen cracks Yueng with a good jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Koskinen clobbers Yueng with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Koskinen jabs Yueng right on the nose. Yueng blinks but takes it well.


Yueng is rocked!
Koskinen lands with an overhand left.
Yueng is still on wobbly legs! Can Koskinen finish him?
Koskinen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Yueng stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Yueng seems to have recovered his senses.
Koskinen lands an overhand right.
Yueng on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Yueng is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yueng should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Koskinen digs a good hook to Yueng 's body.
Koskinen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Koskinen lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Yueng at a distance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Koskinen, as that shot connected.
Koskinen moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Koskinen drops Yueng with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Yueng looks back up at him and smiles so Koskinen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Koskinen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Koskinen swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Yueng .
Koskinen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Koskinen pounces like a tiger and cracks Yueng with a vicious hook! Yueng is down but not out! Koskinen follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jani Koskinen!
Jani Koskinen retains his light heavyweight title!
An out of breath Jani Koskinen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
The defeated Bolo Yueng had this to say: 'Jani is a great champion. He executed his game plan. I knew I had to get him on the ground. His hands are fast and powerful '.
