The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shelby tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shelby . O Rourke does a little dance to reset his feet.
O Rourke misses with a takedown attempt - Shelby sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A left lands for Shelby .
Shelby throws a leg kick which misses O Rourke's front leg but catches the back leg as O Rourke tries to avoid it.
Shelby throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
O Rourke is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Shelby .
Shelby looks to land a combination but O Rourke avoids it well.
O Rourke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Shelby pinned against the cage. Shelby gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Rourke shoots in for a double leg but Shelby sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Shelby scores with a jab to the body.

Shelby lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Shelby pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Shelby counters with a three punch combo that has O Rourke backing up. O Rourke nods at Shelby to acknowledge the strikes.
Shelby throws a series of punches but O Rourke moves out of range.
Tommy Shelby is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
O Rourke shoots in for a takedown but Shelby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Shelby batters O Rourke with a massive right followed by a huge left! O Rourke is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Shelby lands a final crushing right hand to drop O Rourke to the mat with a gruesome thud! Shelby is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
