Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luke Burnett (ranked 24790 p4p, 0 weight class) and Udi Udi (ranked 4589 p4p, 0 weight class). Udi Udi is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Burnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Udi Udi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Udi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Udi is fighting to break Burnett's control of his arms but Burnett is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Burnett throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Udi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burnett's guard.
Udi thows a huge punch but Burnett dodges it nicely.
Udi tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Burnett.
Burnett wants to control but Udi is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Udi is looking to take a break and control but Burnett is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burnett is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Burnett is refusing to be controlled, as Udi sits in half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Burnett throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Udi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Burnett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Udi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burnett keeps working.
Burnett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Udi is staying tight to Burnett's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Burnett is looking to regain half guard here but Udi keeps moving and retains side control.

Burnett tries to get to full guard but Udi has control of the leg.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Udi is stalling here. Burnett is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Udi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Burnett has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Udi is looking to reverse the position.

Burnett in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Udi can't do much from the bottom here.
Udi tries to buck Burnett off but Burnett is having none of it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Burnett gets caught flat footed, as Udi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Burnett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Udi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burnett's half guard.

Udi thows a huge punch but Burnett dodges it nicely.

Burnett is controlling Udi's trapped leg to prevent Udi from advancing to side control.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Udi. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Burnett wants to control but Udi is keeping busy.

Burnett tries to roll over but Udi keeps him under control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Burnett shoots in looking for a takedown. Udi tries to sprawl out of it but Burnett keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Udi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Udi is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burnett's half guard.

Burnett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Udi's guard.

Udi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Burnett manages to get himself to full guard.

Udi Udi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Udi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burnett napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Burnett is trying to control Udi's posture but Udi avoids it.
Burnett is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Udi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ground and pound from Udi seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Udi misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Udi swings around for an armbar but Burnett sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Udi's guard.
Udi controls Burnett momentarily but Burnett frees himself.
Burnett chips away with some ground and pound.
Udi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burnett is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Burnett lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Burnett postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Udi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Burnett controlling from the top position.
Burnett scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Burnett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Burnett wants to stand but Udi is controlling his posture from full guard.
Burnett postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Udi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Burnett is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Burnett won't allow Udi to get back to his feet.
Burnett stands up over Udi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Burnett drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Burnett jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Burnett has gone for a leg lock! Udi slips out almost immediately though and dives into Burnett's guard.

Udi takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Burnett keeping moving, preventing Udi from controlling successfully.
Udi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Udi is pushing down on Burnett's leg trying to pass to half guard. Burnett is fighting to maintain full guard but Udi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Burnett misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Udi misses with a head shot. Burnett uses the momentum to regain guard.

I would just about give that final round to Udi Udi.
Well Udi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
