Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ash Williams (ranked 2917 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sherlock Holmes (ranked 3999 p4p, 0 weight class). Sherlock Holmes has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holmes has Williams up against the cage in a clinch.

Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holmes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Holmes working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holmes slips a nice elbow through Williams's hands, connecting with Williams's forehead.
Holmes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Holmes connects with a nice short shot to Williams's temple.

Williams is rocked!
Holmes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Williams with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Oh Williams is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Holmes lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Williams! More strikes land and this one is all over! Holmes jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
