Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Chaos (ranked 151 p4p, 27 weight class) and Latrobe Arundel (ranked 401 p4p, 59 weight class). Chaos comes to the ring accompanied by Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face. The crowd seem to be enjoying Arundel's choice of entrance music: Shook Ones. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Max Chaos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Latrobe Arundel!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaos shoots for a double leg takedown but Arundel sprawls well. He's pushed Chaos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Arundel! But no joy.
That kick from Arundel tenderised Chaos's leg. Chaos is trying to keep his angry face on.
Arundel ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Chaos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Arundel to score with a decent uppercut.
Chaos on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


It looks like Max Chaos has been cut.
Chaos walks into a jab.
Chaos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Arundel.
Chaos misses with a hook. Arundel ducked under it nicely.
Arundel misses with an uppercut. Chaos saw that one coming.
Arundel throws a poor cross that misses

and Chaos counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Arundel!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chaos has knee on belly momentarily but Arundel bucks him off and regains half guard.

Chaos is looking for a kimura but Arundel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Chaos to get the leverage.
Chaos slips a nice elbow through Arundel's hands, connecting with Arundel's forehead.
Arundel won't allow Chaos to pass to mount.

Chaos is working for a kimura but Arundel is defending it quite comfortably.
Arundel is controlling Chaos's trapped leg to prevent Chaos from advancing to side control.

Arundel is defending against the submission attempts here by Chaos.
Chaos is trying to control. Arundel wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chaos slips a nice elbow through Arundel's hands, connecting with Arundel's forehead.
Arundel is trying to control but can't.
Chaos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Arundel told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Chaos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Arundel doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chaos.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Donk. Chaos catches Arundel right on the button with a cross.
Chaos uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Arundel has time to react.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chaos checks a leg kick.
Chaos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Chaos throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Arundel counters with a straight right hand.
A jab from Chaos misses.
Chaos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Arundel.
Latrobe Arundel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Arundel lands a jab to the head.
Arundel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chaos stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Arundel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chaos on the side of the head.
Chaos misses with an uppercut
and Arundel counters with a stiff right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Arundel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chaos throws out the jab.
Arundel slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Chaos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Arundel counters with a stiff right hand.
Arundel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chaos.
Arundel feints a counter leg kick.
No joy there for Chaos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Chaos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Arundel manages to avoid it.
Arundel lands with an uppercut that bounces Chaos off the ropes and back into range.
Chaos moves away from the strike by Arundel.
A jab from Arundel misses.
Arundel throws a jab but it's blocked by Chaos.
Arundel turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Arundel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Arundel misses with a wild body shot.
Chaos half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Arundel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Chaos.
Chaos pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Chaos throws a poor cross that misses
and Arundel counters with a nice uppercut.
A punch combination from Chaos misses.
A little jabbing left from Arundel on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Arundel is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chaos had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arundel takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

enabling Arundel to counter with a crisp jab.
Chaos throws a hook to the side of Arundel's head but Arundel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Arundel looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Chaos misses with a body shot
and Arundel counters with an inside leg kick.
Chaos bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chaos fails with the takedown
and Arundel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Chaos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chaos lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Arundel at a distance.
Chaos misses with a shot to the body
enabling Arundel to counter with a crisp jab.
Chaos loads up on a big right hand but Arundel slips the punch.
Arundel looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Arundel thuds a left hand into Chaos's body.
Chaos is breathing heavily.
Arundel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Arundel scores with a shot to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Chaos looks up at the clock. Bad move! Arundel lands a right hand from hell, dropping Chaos. Arundel pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 8:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Latrobe Arundel!
