The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mephistopheles with a lazy takedown attempt
and Loveridge cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Loveridge stuffs the takedown attempt from Mephistopheles. Mephistopheles gets slowly back to his feet.
Mephistopheles tries to score a power double leg takedown but Loveridge sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mephistopheles somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lord Mephistopheles. That's going to take a lot out of him.

No joy there for Loveridge, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Loveridge is sitting in close to Mephistopheles's body. Mephistopheles has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Loveridge is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Loveridge is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Mephistopheles.
