Macarenco's entrance music is Carry On My Wayward Son. A fine choice. Filemom Macarenco has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macarenco waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Emelianenko. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Emelianenko to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut.
Emelianenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Macarenco drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Emelianenko dives on top into guard.
Emelianenko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Macarenco is looking for a triangle here but Emelianenko uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Macarenco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Emelianenko wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Emelianenko passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Macarenco!
Macarenco is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Macarenco bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Macarenco has gone for a leg lock! Emelianenko slips out almost immediately though and dives into Macarenco's guard.

Macarenco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macarenco is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Emelianenko frees his head nicely. Oh but Macarenco has switched to an armbar! Emelianenko is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
