Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacinto Rowe (ranked 6961 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruby Macer (ranked 4204 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Columbo Gatti and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Macer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rowe flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Rowe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Rowe is not content to let Macer control the position.
Rowe is looking to improve his position.
Rowe moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Macer controlling from the top position.
Macer wants to pass the guard but Rowe is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rowe striking off his back but it's not causing Macer any problems.

Macer is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Macer is working Rowe over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Rowe thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Rowe is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Macer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Macer's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Macer rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Rowe misses with a head shot. Macer uses the momentum to regain guard.
Rowe throws an elbow that misses. Macer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Rowe's guard. Nice move by Macer!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Macer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Macer wants to control from the top but Rowe keeps moving.
Macer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Macer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Rowe has his foot on Macer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Macer works his way back into a safe position though.
Macer won't allow Rowe to sweep him here.
Macer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rowe's head.

Rowe is rocked!
Macer lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Oh Rowe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Macer postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Rowe covers up, he's hurt! Macer keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Macer and the ref steps in to end the fight! Macer can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
