Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Peralta (ranked 4879 p4p, 503 weight class) and Luke Holt (ranked 5816 p4p, 547 weight class). Holt has chosen Shotta flow as his entrance music. Luke Holt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peralta fails to land the takedown.
Holt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peralta tries to avoid it but Holt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peralta to the ground. Peralta escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Peralta fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Holt avoids it really well and circles away.

Holt pushes Peralta up against the cage in a clinch.
Peralta has Holt pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Holt manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peralta manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Holt manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Holt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Luke Holt dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Holt uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Peralta has time to react.
Peralta fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A bone on bone clash there as Peralta blocks the leg kick.

Holt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Peralta's waist but Peralta gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holt off to one side.
Holt shoots for a double leg takedown but Peralta sprawls well. He's pushed Holt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Peralta is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Holt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Peralta.

Holt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peralta pinned against the cage. Peralta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Holt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Luke Holt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Holt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
