Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fatu Masiwera (ranked 4313 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Vikbergsson (ranked 5588 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vladimir Vikbergsson!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vikbergsson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Vladimir Vikbergsson has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A head punch on the inside from Vikbergsson fails to land.
Vikbergsson tries to pull guard but Masiwera forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Vikbergsson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Masiwera smiles and moves away.

Vikbergsson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Masiwera wants to get back to his feet.
Vikbergsson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Vikbergsson lands a nice short elbow.
Masiwera is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vikbergsson scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like Fatu Masiwera has been cut.
Vikbergsson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Vikbergsson prevents Masiwera from standing back up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vikbergsson connects with a nice short shot to Masiwera's temple.

Fatu Masiwera's cut is getting worse.
Masiwera has hold of Vikbergsson's hands but Vikbergsson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Masiwera is rocked!

Fatu Masiwera's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vikbergsson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Masiwera quite badly. Masiwera pulls Vikbergsson in close trying to recover. Vikbergsson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Masiwera on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Masiwera doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
