Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Arlington (ranked 928 p4p, 107 weight class) and Kaede Jun (ranked 1011 p4p, 114 weight class). Arlington kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Unchained Melody. Jason Arlington had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kaede Jun!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arlington has a takedown stuffed.
Arlington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jun lands with an overhand left.
Jun misses with a wild combination.
Jun throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jun misses with an uppercut. Arlington saw that one coming.
Jun staying out of range there.
Jun lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Jun takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Jun counters with a nice uppercut.
Arlington shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jun pinned against the cage. Jun gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Jun lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Arlington tries to score a body lock takedown but Jun shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Arlington changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jun looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jun is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Arlington is looking to advance position but Jun won't allow it.

Arlington is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jun is just riding it out for now. Arlington eventually gives up the hold.

Arlington changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jun tries to avoid it but Arlington manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jun to the ground. Jun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Arlington uses his free foot to push down on Jun's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jun.
Jun tries to lock up and control but Arlington gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Arlington is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jun can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Arlington avoids the attempt from Jun to control.
Arlington fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Jun tries to hold on but Arlington postures up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
