With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Amirah Radhakrishnan!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radhakrishnan misses with a body shot.
Radhakrishnan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Thompson moves into the clinch successfully.

Thompson gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Radhakrishnan trying to control the position.
Thompson sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Radhakrishnan wants to sweep here but Thompson controlling him for the moment.

Radhakrishnan can't keep his opponent in guard - Thompson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Thompson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Thompson prevents Radhakrishnan from standing back up.
Radhakrishnan is trying to get back to full guard.
Thompson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Radhakrishnan is looking to control Thompson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Radhakrishnan avoid being mounted?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Radhakrishnan can do anything to dispel that myth.
Thompson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Thompson is controlling the pace.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Thompson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Thompson thows a huge punch but Radhakrishnan dodges it nicely.

Thompson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Thompson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thompson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thompson wants to work for an arm triangle but Radhakrishnan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Thompson is trying for a kimura here. Radhakrishnan looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Thompson wins by kimura!
