Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Britt Cubbedge (ranked 1434 p4p, 175 weight class) and Sasha Khadartsev (ranked 965 p4p, 131 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khadartsev stuns Cubbedge with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Cubbedge has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Khadartsev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cubbedge will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Cubbedge takes a swing at Khadartsev's ribcage but misses.
Khadartsev tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Cubbedge throws a leg kick
and Khadartsev counters with a shoot takedown. Cubbedge fights it but they end up in guard.
Khadartsev keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cubbedge 's head.
Cubbedge is looking to stand up but Khadartsev isn't so interested in that idea.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Khadartsev working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Khadartsev is in close to Cubbedge 's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Khadartsev looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Cubbedge seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cubbedge throws a low kick but Khadartsev moves out of range easily.
And Khadartsev tries to counter it with a takedown but Cubbedge pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Cubbedge tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Khadartsev was well out of range. Poor timing from Cubbedge .
Cubbedge takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Khadartsev closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cubbedge is trying to stand up here but Khadartsev is controlling him well.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sasha Khadartsev dominated that round.

Cubbedge uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khadartsev.
The crowd cheers as Cubbedge lands an impressive looking overhand right. Khadartsev doesn't seem phased though.

Cubbedge digs a good hook to Khadartsev's body.
Cubbedge throws a low kick but Khadartsev moves out of range easily.

Britt Cubbedge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khadartsev takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Sasha Khadartsev has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khadartsev paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Khadartsev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cubbedge lands a jab to the head.
Cubbedge cracks Khadartsev with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Khadartsev falls to his knees and Cubbedge doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
