Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Louis Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilic takes a swing at Edwards's ribcage but misses.
A big right from Bilic misses.
Edwards throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Edwards manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bilic on his heels. He'll look to pass Bilic's guard now, I'm sure.
Edwards postures up.
Edwards has gone for a leg lock! Bilic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Edwards's guard.
Bilic pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Edwards is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bilic being controlled here momentarily.

Bilic wants to control from the top but Edwards keeps moving.
Bilic won't allow Edwards to sweep him here.
Edwards is pulling down on Bilic's head. It's preventing any offense from Bilic, at least for the moment.
Edwards kicks Bilic off and gets to his feet.
Bilic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Edwards with the counter takedown but Bilic avoids it easily.

Edwards closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Edwards is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bilic wants to improve his position but Edwards is controlling well.
Edwards thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bilic's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bilic is trying to maintain the position but Edwards is very close to passing his half guard.
Edwards content to control rather than advance.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bilic dips to his left and cracks Edwards with an uppercut!
Mario Bilic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bilic loads up on a big right hand but Edwards slips the punch.
Bilic fails with an attempt to clinch.
Edwards swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bilic throws a poor cross that misses
and Edwards decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bilic's guard.
Bilic wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Edwards manages to pass to side control.
Edwards is working for a kimura but Bilic is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bilic is trying to maintain the position but Edwards is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Edwards throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bilic was covering up waiting for the punch and Edwards finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Edwards advances position into side control!
Louis Edwards has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bilic tries to buck Edwards off but Edwards is having none of it.
Edwards stands up.

Bilic looks to land a right hand but Edwards moved out of range.
Edwards has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bilic misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Edwards counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Edwards.
Bilic is rocked!
Edwards is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Oh Bilic is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Let's hope that Edwards has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Edwards gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bilic seems to have got his legs back now.
Bilic misses with a lunging right hand
and Edwards counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bilic is working an open guard so Edwards takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Edwards throws a right hand that Bilic ducks under and follows up with a left that Bilic also avoids with ease.
Bilic is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Bilic throws a right hand that misses
and Edwards counters with a double leg. Bilic bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Edwards follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.
