The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matip throws a half hearted mid kick.
Matip takes a swing at Juramba's ribcage but misses.

Juramba manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Matip on his heels. He'll look to pass Matip's guard now, I'm sure.
Matip looking for a sweep. Not yet Matip, not yet.

Matip is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Matip lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Matip wants to lay and pray for a moment but Juramba keeps working.
Matip is looking to advance position but Juramba won't allow it.

Matip is keen to just control but Juramba is a slippery customer.
Matip might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Juramba haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Matip is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Matip is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Juramba is just riding it out for now. Matip eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Matip throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Matip is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Juramba bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Matip misses with a low kick.
Matip uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Juramba.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Juramba! Matip is out on his feet! Juramba rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Matip is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Matip is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
