Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Corll (ranked 1743 p4p, 235 weight class) and Speva Koso (ranked 564 p4p, 88 weight class). Corll comes to the cage accompanied by Candyman. Dean Corll could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Speva Koso's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dean Corll!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Speva Koso!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koso will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Corll keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Koso digs a good hook to Corll's body.
Corll is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Koso.
Koso connects with a body shot that sends Corll's belly button to the back.
Corll throws a low kick but it's checked well by Koso.
A little jabbing left from Koso on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Corll throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Koso jabs Corll to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A jab from Koso finds it's way through Corll's defenses.
Koso throws a hook but Corll blocks it.

Corll darts in and clinches Koso up against the cage.
Koso goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Koso misses with a body punch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Koso.
Corll tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Koso struggles to land a body shot inside as Corll controls his hands.

Koso breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Corll gets caught napping as Koso dives in and scores a takedown. Corll manages to retain guard.
Corll controls Koso momentarily but Koso frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Koso trying to control but Corll is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Corll is looking for a triangle but Koso pushes his legs off easily.

Corll is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koso defends well.
Koso advances to half guard.
Corll is pressing down on Koso's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Koso tries to free his leg and advance position but Corll is retaining full guard.

Corll has his foot on Koso's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koso works his way back into a safe position though.
Koso trying to control the position from guard on top but Corll is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Koso trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Koso trying to control but Corll is working from the bottom.
Corll has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Corll has control of Koso's left arm, preventing Koso from doing any damage.
Koso advances to half guard.
Koso is trying to control the action in half guard but Corll is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Koso is looking for a kimura here.

Koso seems to be looking for submissions.
Corll tries to roll over but Koso keeps him under control.

Corll looking for submissions off his back.
Corll is trying to maintain the position but Koso is very close to passing his half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Corll gets full guard.
Koso stopping the sweep attempt from Corll.
Corll is working hard here to advance position.
Corll looking to control.

Koso drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Corll dives on top into guard.

Koso manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Corll manages to get himself to full guard.

Koso wants to pass the guard but Corll is keeping the position.

Corll looking for subs off his back but Koso has passed one foot through into half guard.
Corll wants to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Koso trying to control the action but Corll is working from the bottom.

Corll looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Corll is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Koso in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Corll tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Koso!
