The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blirup shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stalin's guard.
Stalin wants to stand but Blirup is controlling the position.
Stalin looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Blirup passes into half guard.
Stalin throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Stalin is not content to let Blirup control the position.
Blirup passes the guard and advances to mount!
Stalin is squirming around, avoiding Blirup's attempts to control the action.
Blirup with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Blirup is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Blirup extends the arm and Stalin is forced to tap!
