Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen National Anthem as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cole's waist but Cole gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side.
Diaz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Diaz takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Diaz looks for a takedown but Cole sprawls well.

Diaz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Cole just misses with a punch to the body.
Cole takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cole takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Cole connects with a nice looking jab.

Diaz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Diaz is working for a kimura here but Cole manages to reverse the position and he's now in Diaz's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Cole lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Diaz counters with a single leg into guard. Cole didn't expect that.

Cole is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Diaz frees his head nicely. Oh but Cole has switched to an armbar! Diaz is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
