Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Limmerick (ranked 4208 p4p, 463 weight class) and Jamie Porter (ranked 2268 p4p, 282 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter throws a combination that misses
and Limmerick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Limmerick throws an overhand right that lands on Porter's shoulder, as Porter tries to avoid the shot.
Porter throws a lazy body kick
and Limmerick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Jamie Porter has been cut.
Porter slips a straight right by Limmerick.
Jamie Porter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Porter displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Limmerick throws out the jab.

and Porter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Some bone on bone action there as Limmerick checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Limmerick throws the left hand but Porter avoids the punch easily.
Porter throws a low kick, looking for Limmerick's leg but Limmerick calmly moves out of range.
Limmerick has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Limmerick throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Porter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Limmerick misses with an uppercut. Porter saw that one coming.
Porter tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Limmerick is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Limmerick swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Porter.
Limmerick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Porter shoots for a takedown but Limmerick saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Porter stalks Limmerick and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Limmerick's face. Limmerick staggers backwards, shaken.

And Porter tries to counter it with a takedown but Limmerick pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Porter is looking for the big counter here.
Jamie Porter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Limmerick drops Porter with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Porter looks back up at him and smiles so Limmerick waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Limmerick tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Porter misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Porter is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Limmerick has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ronny Limmerick will probably get the nod.

Porter tries to circle away but Limmerick has him pinned against the cage.
Porter is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Limmerick gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
