Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Micheal Hines (ranked 4036 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abey Sin (ranked 2792 p4p, 329 weight class). Micheal Hines is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micheal Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abey Sin!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sin takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Hines shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sin is trying to defend but Hines finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Hines prevents Sin from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hines is working away from the top position though.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hines has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sin has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hines is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Sin shoots for a takedown but Hines saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
As Sin tries to get set, Hines tries to push him back and clinch up but Sin manages to avoid the attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sin is working for takedown but Hines is calmly controlling the position for now.
Micheal Hines has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abey Sin.

Sin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hines is trying to keep an underhook but Sin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Hines is trying to escape back to his feet but Sin uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Sin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hines, who protects the arm well.
Sin prevents Hines from escaping the position.
Hines is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sin's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Hines is trying to stand back up but Sin is controlling him
Sin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hines does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hines tries to reverse the position but Sin maintains control.
Sin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Hines slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Hines flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Hines is trying to get back to full guard.
Hines on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hines is trying to stand back up but Sin is controlling him
Sin uses his free foot to push down on Hines's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hines.
Hines gets back to half guard.
Hines is breathing heavily.
Sin wants to control but Hines is keeping him busy.
Sin working the head and body with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Abey Sin will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Sin shoots in but no luck this time.
Hines is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Sin with a poor takedown
and Hines counters with a stiff right hand.

Hines looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Sin!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hines gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sin tries to score a body lock takedown but Hines shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hines is looking to take this one to the mat.
Hines tries to pull guard but Sin forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Hines is pressed up against the cage. Sin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hines down to the mat. Hines avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Sin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sin darts in looking for a takedown but Hines gets double underhooks and turns Sin into the cage.
Hines scores with a hook.
Sin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hines sprawls well. Hines wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sin gets slowly back to his feet.

Sin tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hines presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Sin wants to control but Hines is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sin is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sin holds on for dear life.
Sin wants to hold on but Hines pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Sin doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hines counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hines.

Hines stuffs the takedown.
Hines dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Hines rushes Sin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hines tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Hines lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sin looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hines has picked Sin up and slammed him! Sin can't keep hold of the triangle and Hines manages to pass to side control!
Sin is looking to regain half guard here but Hines keeps moving and retains side control.
Sin is not content to let Hines control the position.
Sin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sin is looking for a sweep. Hines is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hines has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Sin is working an open guard so Hines takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

It looked like Hines was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sin.

A jab from Hines finds it's way through Sin's defenses.
Sin shoots and misses

and Hines counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Hines is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sin can do to turn this around?
Sin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hines escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hines punishes Sin's body with a nice straight punch.
Sin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hines is fending him off so far but Sin persists. Nope, Hines circles away and we're back to standing.

Micheal Hines showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hines has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
