Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Richardson (ranked 4320 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Loiseau (ranked 6502 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Loiseau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Richardson lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Charles Loiseau has been cut.
A head kick misses from Loiseau.
Loiseau tries to score a power double leg takedown but Richardson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Loiseau somewhat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Loiseau.

Loiseau shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Richardson but Richardson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Loiseau dives in and grabs Richardson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Richardson pushes down on Loiseau's head and hops out.

Richardson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Loiseau uses from the top position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Richardson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Loiseau can pounce on him.
Loiseau throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Richardson's waist but Richardson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Loiseau off to one side.

Loiseau scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Loiseau counters with a low kick, right behind Richardson 's knee.
Richardson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Loiseau tries to avoid it but Richardson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Loiseau to the ground. Loiseau escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Richardson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Loiseau is looking to control Richardson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Loiseau avoid being mounted?

The fighters are battling for position here. Loiseau manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Richardson shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Richardson slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Richardson lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
