The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big Balls jabs Mendoza right on the nose. Mendoza blinks but takes it well.
Some wild striking there from Big Balls.
Big Balls shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mendoza napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Big Balls misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Check out the look on Big Balls's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Mendoza is trying to control Big Balls's posture but Big Balls avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Big Balls throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Big Balls lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mendoza down.
Mendoza is rocked!
Big Balls has an Americana. Mendoza didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Big Balls is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Big Balls hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
