Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Goji Kano (ranked 4328 p4p, 356 weight class) and Mohammed Al Haddad (ranked 6658 p4p, 444 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mohammed Al Haddad was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goji Kano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mohammed Al Haddad!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Haddad looks for a takedown but Kano sprawls well.
Kano drops down looking for a counter takedown but Al Haddad sprawls and moves away.
Kano misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Al Haddad fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kano avoids it really well and circles away.
Kano tries to counter with a takedown but Al Haddad is quick to defend against it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kano tries to score a power double leg takedown but Al Haddad sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kano somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Al Haddad is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Al Haddad can't keep his opponent in guard - Kano advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Al Haddad wants to get back to his feet.

Kano is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Al Haddad is just riding it out for now. Kano eventually gives up the hold.

Kano is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Al Haddad sees it coming and defends easily.
Al Haddad looks like he's trying to stand up.

Al Haddad kicks off Kano and gets to his feet.
Kano avoids the head kick by Al Haddad.
Kano dives in and grabs Al Haddad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Al Haddad pushes down on Kano's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Goji Kano. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kano shoots in looking for a takedown. Al Haddad tries to sprawl out of it but Kano keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Al Haddad manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kano has Al Haddad pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Al Haddad manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Kano wants to take the fight to the mat but Al Haddad manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kano is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Al Haddad gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Kano has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Al Haddad avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Al Haddad is pressed up against the cage. Kano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Al Haddad down to the mat. Al Haddad avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kano ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kano shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Al Haddad defends it nicely.
Al Haddad shoots in looking for a takedown but Kano manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Al Haddad's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Al Haddad has hold of one of Kano's legs. Kano is fighting the takedown attempt but Al Haddad gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Kano has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Al Haddad should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kano has tightened it up now! Al Haddad should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
