The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing shoots for a double leg takedown but Mikkasan sprawls well. He's pushed Ewing's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ewing tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Mikkasan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ewing, pushing him back against the cage.

Mikkasan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Daniel Mikkasan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mikkasan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ewing is trying to stand back up but Mikkasan is controlling him
Mikkasan winds up and cracks Ewing with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Mikkasan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mikkasan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Mikkasan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mikkasan lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Ewing quite badly. Ewing pulls Mikkasan in close trying to recover. Mikkasan postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Ewing on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Ewing doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
