And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edem Sawal!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Edem Sawal has been cut.
Evans lands a slapping body shot.

Sawal fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Evans, pushing him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sawal takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Evans pulls guard effortlessly.

Evans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sawal gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Sawal avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Sawal decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Evans, up you get!
Evans is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sawal sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Evans scores with a sloppy right hand. Sawal should have avoided that one.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Evans, as that shot connected.

Evans takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


Sawal is rocked!
Evans lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Sawal is looking to close the distance but Evans sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Sawal crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Sawal is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
