Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between I Just Fight And Win G (ranked 6052 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Beltran (ranked 2251 p4p, 244 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, I Just Fight And Win G!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Beltran!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beltran darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
And Win G is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Beltran scores with a couple of nice shots.
Still in half guard, Beltran seems content to control.

Beltran decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Beltran dives in and scores a takedown into And Win G's guard.
And Win G on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if And Win G tries to get out of the position.
And Win G is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beltran sitting in guard here, content to control.

Beltran stands up and waves to And Win G to follow him.
And Win G throws a looping overhand right but Beltran ducks down to avoid it.
Beltran takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Beltran pushes And Win G up against the cage in a clinch.
Beltran wants a takedown.
Beltran is looking for a takedown up against the cage. And Win G gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Beltran has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. And Win G is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
I Just Fight And Win G has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Beltran.
And Win G wants to get back to striking at distance but Beltran won't allow it.

And Win G wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Beltran has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by And Win G after a bit of a struggle.
Beltran with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Beltran is looking for a takedown up against the cage. And Win G gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And Win G prevents a takedown attempt there.
Beltran goes for a takedown in the clinch but And Win G prevents it.

Beltran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
And Win G ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Beltran fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with And Win G, pushing him back against the cage.
Beltran lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Beltran looking for a takedown.
Beltran has And Win G pushed against the cage.
Beltran working some nice short punches in the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Beltran jumps into guard, dragging And Win G to the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beltran looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And Win G wanted to stand there but Beltran had control of the position.
And Win G has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Beltran is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Beltran keeps the fight in the clinch, despite And Win G's efforts to push away.

Beltran pushes And Win G off and scrambles back to his feet.

Beltran shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Beltran lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Beltran wants to work for an arm triangle but And Win G is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Beltran dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Beltran lands a nice looking body shot.

Beltran gets a clinch.

Beltran successfully pulls guard.
And Win G tries to stand but Beltran is controlling from the bottom.

Beltran has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes And Win G off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Beltran gets a double leg takedown into And Win G's guard.

And Win G wriggles free and stands up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
And Win G throws a big shot that misses.
And Win G throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Beltran.

Beltran feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Beltran makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Beltran stands and steps away. And Win G gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Beltran clinches up against the cage.
Beltran is looking to take this one to the mat.
Beltran digs a right hand underneath And Win G's ribcage. And Win G let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Beltran has hold of one of And Win G's legs. And Win G is fighting the takedown attempt but Beltran gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Beltran is standing up over And Win G. And Win G looks to escape but Beltran dives into side control.

Beltran advances nicely into full mount.
Beltran controlling the position easily from mount.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
And Win G is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Beltran tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Carlos Beltran showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Beltran manages to get an easy takedown there - catching And Win G on his heels. He'll look to pass And Win G's guard now, I'm sure.
Beltran scoring with punches to the head and body.
Beltran landing with the ground and pound.
Beltran throwing strikes from guard but And Win G blocks nicely.
Beltran postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Beltran stands and steps away. And Win G gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Beltran closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And Win G pushes Beltran away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Beltran gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Beltran decides to stand up, so the ref orders And Win G to his feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Beltran gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Beltran has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Beltran is trying to work for a single leg takedown but And Win G pulls him back up using the underhooks.
And Win G has had enough of the clinch but Beltran keeps him there for the moment.
Beltran is trying to drag And Win G to the mat but And Win G just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
And Win G tries to break the clinch but Beltran is controlling the position.

Beltran has hold of one of And Win G's legs. And Win G is fighting the takedown attempt but Beltran gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
And Win G is looking to stand back up but Beltran counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by And Win G.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Beltran connects with a nice short shot to And Win G's temple.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Beltran in particular looking to stall.

Beltran postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for And Win G to stand up.

Beltran clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
And Win G is trying to push Beltran away but Beltran has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Beltran escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Beltran shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in And Win G's guard.
And Win G avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beltran slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Beltran throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Carlos Beltran is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Beltran stands up and waves to And Win G to follow him.

And Win G gets caught flat footed, as Beltran shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Beltran gets to his feet - And Win G follows without any prompting.

Beltran shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in And Win G's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beltran is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And Win G working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Beltran.
Beltran trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Beltran not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

And Win G is rocked!

Carlos Beltran comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Beltran winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
