Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Colin Lamprey (ranked 3503 p4p, 359 weight class) and Killua Zoldyk (ranked 1393 p4p, 158 weight class). Killua Zoldyk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Colin Lamprey! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Tokyo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Killua Zoldyk!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Lamprey has closed the distance and engaged Zoldyk in a clinch.
Lamprey is working for takedown but Zoldyk is calmly controlling the position for now.

Zoldyk tightens his grip and picks Lamprey up, before dumping him to the ground. Lamprey manages to land in guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Zoldyk is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lamprey on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lamprey tries to get out of the position.
Let's hope that Zoldyk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lamprey definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Zoldyk is looking for a kimura but Lamprey is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Zoldyk to get the leverage.
Lamprey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zoldyk on the ground.

Lamprey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Zoldyk is controlling the pace.
It looks like Zoldyk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Zoldyk wants to work for an arm triangle but Lamprey is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Zoldyk is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Zoldyk wants to control the pace but Lamprey is squirming around nicely.

Zoldyk is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lamprey to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lamprey shrugs it off.

Zoldyk is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lamprey has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Zoldyk looking to isolate an arm here. Lamprey doesn't see it coming and as Zoldyk extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Zoldyk!
