Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaige Douglas (ranked 4734 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ima Killa (ranked 4666 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas throws a head kick that misses.
Killa wants to clinch.
Douglas seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Killa shoots in and gets a takedown into Douglas's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Killa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Douglas wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Douglas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Killa is one step ahead there.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Killa fails to land with a series of punches.
Douglas takes a swing at Killa's ribcage but misses.
Douglas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Douglas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Killa sprawls well. Killa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Douglas gets slowly back to his feet.

Killa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Let's hope that Killa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Killa swings around for an armbar but Douglas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Killa's guard.
Douglas is breathing heavily.
Killa has Douglas pulled in close to control his posture.

Killa thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Douglas in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Killa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Douglas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Killa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Douglas doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Douglas manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Killa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A close round but Ima Killa will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Killa shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Killa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killa is continuing to stall.
Killa wants to stand up but Douglas has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Killa looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Douglas has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Killa is working away from the top position though.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Killa wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Killa shoots in and gets a takedown into Douglas's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Killa is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Douglas is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Douglas has escaped and now he's on top!

Killa throws his legs up looking for a submission but Douglas uses it to pass to side control.

Killa bucks up and tries to throw Douglas off but instead Douglas has got his back!
Douglas has the hooks in. Killa is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Douglas is looking for the choke from the back position but Killa is controlling his hands well.

Gaige Douglas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Douglas is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Killa off and has taken his back!
Killa's corner are yelling at him, telling him to just focus on controlling Douglas's hands.
Killa tries to roll but Douglas sticks to his back.
Douglas is not going to allow Killa to sit and survive in this position.

I really don't envy Killa right now.

Douglas is looking to control Killa but Killa is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Killa just trying to survive but Douglas is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Killa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Douglas haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gaige Douglas.
Well Douglas has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
