Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Israel Horne (ranked 4669 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jack (ranked 4672 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Israel Horne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jack!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Horne shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Horne was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Jack can't do much from the bottom here.
Jack manages to get back to half guard.
Horne prevents Jack from improving his position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horne is working for a kimura but Jack is defending it quite comfortably.

Jack is looking for a sweep. Horne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jack has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Horne is working away from the top position though.
Jack moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Horne defends it easily.
Jack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Horne is one step ahead there.
Jack is trying to keep Horne in close.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Horne throws a strike but Jack rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jack drops back looking for a leg! Horne is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Horne manages to kick Jack off! Jack jumps back into Horne's guard.
Jack wants to pass the guard but Horne is keeping the position.
Horne keeping moving, preventing Jack from controlling successfully.

Jack drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Horne dives on top into guard.

Horne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jack on the ground.

Jack looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jack has his foot on Horne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Horne works his way back into a safe position though.
Horne really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jack looks winded!

Jack has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Horne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Israel Horne will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Jack gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Horne to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jack controls Horne momentarily but Horne frees himself.
Jack pulls Horne in close to his closed guard and prevents Horne from doing any damage or advancing position.
Horne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jack has his foot on Horne's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Horne works his way back into a safe position though.

Horne drops back looking for a leg! Jack is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jack manages to kick Horne off! Horne jumps back into Jack's guard.

Horne throws a strike but Jack rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack wants to control from the top but Horne keeps moving.
Horne wants to sweep here but Jack controlling him for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jack drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Horne dives on top into guard.

Horne in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Horne avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Horne content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Jack wants to sweep but no luck.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Horne's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Jack wants to hit a switch here but Horne passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jack there!

Jack takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Jack gets back to half guard.
Jack tries to roll over but Horne keeps him under control.
Jack is breathing heavily.
Jack keeps trying to improve his position.

Horne is trying to work for a kimura but Jack is defending well.
Jack moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Horne throws an elbow that misses. Jack uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Horne's guard. Nice move by Jack!

Jack looking to sit in guard and control but Horne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Horne distracts Jack with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Jack looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Jack working for a triangle but Horne defends it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Horne won't allow Jack to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Israel Horne will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Horne drives through with a takedown into Jack's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jack escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Horne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Horne wanted to stand there but Jack had control of the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jack looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Horne is defending well. Jack quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Horne has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Jack celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). James Jack!
