Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Weiss (ranked 4675 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Delbrossio (ranked 4290 p4p, 0 weight class). Edward Delbrossio is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Delbrossio!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Delbrossio clinches up against the cage.
Weiss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Delbrossio just stands there and leans against the cage.

Delbrossio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Weiss as Delbrossio shoots in.
Edward Delbrossio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Weiss counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Delbrossio!

Delbrossio lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Weiss circles away quickly and effectively.

Weiss has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Weiss has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Delbrossio clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Weiss lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Delbrossio hold on?!

Edward Delbrossio showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Delbrossio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Weiss avoids it really well and circles away.
Delbrossio throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Weiss lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
That kick from Delbrossio tenderised Weiss's leg. Weiss is trying to keep his angry face on.

Delbrossio is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Weiss asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Weiss has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Delbrossio.

Weiss looking to break Delbrossio's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Delbrossio remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Weiss will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Weiss is looking for a choke. Delbrossio gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Delbrossio manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.
Delbrossio wants to stand and escape but instead Weiss has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Delbrossio wants to get back to his feet but Weiss is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tanner Weiss.
I think Weiss has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
