Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alonso Mccray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yorgan De Romero!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Romero fails with a takedown attempt.
Romero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mccray is looking to counter punch.
Romero fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Mccray closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Romero effectively controlling the action here.
Romero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mccray avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Alonso Mccray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yorgan De Romero.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Romero drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mccray gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Mccray was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Romero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Mccray manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Romero tests Mccray's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Romero tries to close the distance and clinch but Mccray swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Mccray is looking to break free of the clinch but Romero has double underhooks.
Mccray fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Romero tries to pull guard but Mccray won't allow it.

Mccray successfully pulls guard.
Mccray pulls Romero in close to his closed guard and prevents Romero from doing any damage or advancing position.
Romero wants to control from the top but Mccray keeps moving.

Mccray looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Romero puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Mccray wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Romero throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mccray tries to get to full guard but Romero has control of the leg.
Romero trying to control the action but Mccray is working from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mccray tries to keep at a distance but Romero has taken the fight into the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Mccray fails to land.
Romero will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mccray up against the cage.
Mccray is looking to break free of the clinch but Romero has double underhooks.

Mccray tries to stand but Romero is controlling from the bottom.

Mccray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Romero's guard.

Romero wants to sweep here but Mccray controlling him for the moment.

Mccray stands up from Romero's guard - Mccray perhaps looking for a knockout.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Romero forces Mccray back against the cage and clinches.
Romero is pushing Mccray up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Mccray has had enough of the clinch but Romero keeps him there for the moment.

Mccray postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Romero to stand up.
Romero looks to throw a body kick

and Mccray counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Romero is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mccray dives into side control.

Mccray is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Romero's shoulder. That is not cool.

Mccray stands up and beckons Romero to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mccray is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Romero is controlling him.
Mccray is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mccray wants to stand and escape but Romero is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Romero tries to free his leg and advance position but Mccray is retaining full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Well Mccray has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
