Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cosme Capetto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pieter Aart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aart has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Aart lands in his opponent's guard.
Aart won't allow Capetto to get back to his feet.

Capetto is working an open guard so Aart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Aart changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Capetto tries to avoid it but Aart manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Capetto to the ground. Capetto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Aart shoots in but Capetto avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Aart comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Capetto is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Aart is controlling him.

Aart distracts Capetto with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Aart stands up from Capetto's guard - Aart perhaps looking for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Aart has Capetto up against the cage in a clinch.

Aart breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Aart fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Capetto sprawls well initially but Aart persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Aart uses his free foot to push down on Capetto's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Capetto.

Aart takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Aart has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Aart has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Capetto's face.

and Aart decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Capetto's guard.

Well Aart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
