The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baird tries to sprawl but Grungle drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Baird wants to get back to full guard.
Baird really is a fat lump.
Grungle not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Grungle tries to stand but can't do so whilst Baird controls his leg.
Grungle prevents Baird from improving his position.
Grungle seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Baird does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grungle scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Baird manages to mount him!

Grungle reaches up to try and control the position but Baird seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Grungle rolls and tries to escape and now Baird has his back!

Grungle breaks Baird's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Baird has control of Grungle's left arm, preventing Grungle from doing any damage.
Grungle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Baird swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Grungle looking to sit in guard and control but Baird gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Baird keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Grungle's head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
