Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Torres (ranked 609 p4p, 93 weight class) and Whorely Alvarez (ranked 2319 p4p, 294 weight class). Torres kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Juaneco y su Combo - Mujer Hilandera. Gabriel Torres could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Whorely Alvarez's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Alvarez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Alvarez throws a head kick but Torres moves out of range.
Torres appears to be looking for a big counter.
Alvarez lands with a kick to the temple. Torres shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Torres tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A shot to the body from Torres misses
and Alvarez counters with a one-two to the body.
Alvarez throws a leg kick
and Torres counters with a single leg into guard. Alvarez didn't expect that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alvarez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Torres passes Alvarez's left leg - he's now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alvarez can do anything to dispel that myth.
Torres passes to full mount!
Torres looking to control but Alvarez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Alvarez is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Torres quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Torres but it's paid off an Alvarez is forced to tap! Nice work by Torres.
