The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christensen clinches up with Slice and pushes him back against the cage.
Slice misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Christensen.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Christensen lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Christensen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Christensen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Slice prevents Christensen from getting back to his feet.
Christensen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Slice has momentary wrist control but Christensen slips an elbow through the middle.

Slice throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Slice throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Christensen escapes and throws Slice's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Christensen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Slice is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Slice tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Christensen easily slips into full mount!

Christensen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Slice to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Slice shrugs it off.
The referee warns Slice that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Slice wants to hold on but Christensen pushes him away.
Christensen is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Christensen extends the arm and Slice is forced to tap!
