Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Biggus Dickus (ranked 4589 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaspars Kambala (ranked 6859 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Biggus Dickus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kaspars Kambala!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kambala goes for a double leg but Dickus avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dickus continues to drive forward.
Dickus went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kambala has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Dickus is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Kambala breaks the clinch.
Dickus wants to clinch.
Dickus throws a right and a left that Kambala avoids nicely.
Dickus scores with a jab to the body.

It looks like Kaspars Kambala has been cut.

Dickus lands a left and a right that send Kambala crashing to the mat, dazed. Dickus thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Kambala is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kambala clinches up against the cage.
Dickus tries to stall but Kambala uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Kambala gets control of Dickus's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kambala will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kambala is on top in guard.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Kambala is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kambala in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kambala has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dickus is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kambala is controlling him.
Kambala throws a big right hand that misses.
Kambala is looking to work some ground and pound but Dickus has wrist control.
Kambala sitting in guard, not really doing much.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like Kambala might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Kambala stands and steps away. Dickus gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kambala has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kambala stalling the fight.

Kambala pulls guard effortlessly.
Kambala is controlling Dickus's posture.
Kambala's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kambala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kambala is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kambala pulls Dickus in close to prevent any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kambala strikes from his own guard.
Dickus is fighting to break Kambala's control of his arms but Kambala is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dickus misses the body punch
and Dickus takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Dickus throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kambala counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kambala jumps guard but Dickus turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kambala decides to pull guard.

Kambala has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Dickus doesn't defend quickly enough and Kambala has managed to lock this one up! Can Dickus escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kambala on a fantastic submission victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Kaspars Kambala!
