Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wrestley Sparman (ranked 4620 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Plushmaster (ranked 4433 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sparman tries to keep at a distance but Plushmaster has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sparman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Plushmaster closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Plushmaster pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Plushmaster bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sparman's head backwards.
Wrestley Sparman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sparman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Plushmaster takes the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sparman jumps guard but Plushmaster stands there with Sparman around his waist. Sparman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sparman fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Plushmaster is out of range.
Sparman shoots in for a takedown but Plushmaster shows good takedown defense.

and Plushmaster counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Plushmaster rushes Sparman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Plushmaster tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Sparman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Plushmaster lands with a nice combination. Sparman backs away looking to recover.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Plushmaster fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sparman, pushing him back against the cage.

Sparman breaks the clinch.
Plushmaster shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sparman defends it nicely.
Plushmaster pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sparman back to the cage. Plushmaster follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Sparman has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Plushmaster finds it's way round the side to connect with Sparman's head.

Plushmaster drives through and clinches with Sparman against the cage.
Sparman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Plushmaster gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Plushmaster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Plushmaster goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sparman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Plushmaster avoids it really well and circles away.

Sparman tries to keep at a distance but Plushmaster has taken the fight into the clinch.

Sparman throws an elbow that misses.
Sparman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Plushmaster is trying to break the clinch but Sparman has him pressed against the cage.

Plushmaster pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Plushmaster's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Plushmaster duly obliges.
Plushmaster lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Plushmaster.
Plushmaster is working the combinations to good effect here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Plushmaster looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Plushmaster should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sparman looks to clinch
and Plushmaster counters with a left and a right that stings Sparman.
Sparman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Sparman doesn't manage to clinch there - Plushmaster circles away.
Plushmaster tries to counter with a clinch but Sparman shakes him off and moves away.
Danga de danga de dang - Plushmaster scores with a four punch combination!
Plushmaster scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Plushmaster moves into the clinch successfully.

Sparman pulls guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sparman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Plushmaster is one step ahead there.
Sparman manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Plushmaster manages to get himself to full guard.

Plushmaster is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sparman dives into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Plushmaster counters with a one-two to the body.
Plushmaster works over Sparman's head and body with a nice combination.
Sparman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Plushmaster lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Plushmaster lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jeff Plushmaster showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Sparman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plushmaster sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sparman somewhat.
Plushmaster looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sparman is fending him off so far but Plushmaster persists. Nope, Sparman circles away and we're back to standing.

Sparman gets tackled into the cage by Plushmaster. Plushmaster maintains the clinch.
Sparman is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Plushmaster has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Sparman is trying to drag Plushmaster to the mat but Plushmaster just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sparman walks into a left hand.
Plushmaster looks to land a combination. Sparman sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Plushmaster counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Plushmaster throws a combination. Sparman tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Plushmaster. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Plushmaster clinches up with Sparman and pushes him back against the cage.
Sparman looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Plushmaster escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Plushmaster wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sparman wants to take the fight to the mat but Plushmaster manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Plushmaster is trying to force a seperation but Sparman has the dominant position.

Sparman pulls guard effortlessly.
Plushmaster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sparman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
