Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Swan Warriors (ranked 2917 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Ramsey (ranked 4631 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gordon Ramsey!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warriors clinches with his opponent.
Warriors avoids the elbow strike from Ramsey, against the cage.
Ramsey jumps guard but Warriors stands there with Ramsey around his waist. Ramsey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Warriors.
Ramsey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Warriors avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Warriors ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Warriors no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Warriors is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Ramsey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ramsey is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Swan Warriors has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gordon Ramsey.
Warriors is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ramsey sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Ramsey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Warriors checks a low kick from Ramsey.
Ramsey misses with a lunging right hand
and Warriors counters with a nice low kick that buckles Ramsey's knee momentarily.
Ramsey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Warriors changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ramsey tries to avoid it but Warriors manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ramsey to the ground. Ramsey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Warriors throws a right and a left that Ramsey avoids nicely.
Warriors tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ramsey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ramsey passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Warriors!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramsey lands a nice shot to the head.
Ramsey scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Warriors really wants to buck Ramsey off and get back to his feet.
Warriors really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ramsey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ramsey avoids the attempt from Warriors to control.
Ramsey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Let's hope that Ramsey has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Ramsey is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
Gordon Ramsey has got the better of the ground game so far.

Warriors defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ramsey.

Warriors tries to lock up and control but Ramsey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ramsey jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Warriors manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Warriors is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Warriors tries to buck Ramsey off but Ramsey is having none of it.

Ramsey decides to stand back up.
Warriors fails with an attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gordon Ramsey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ramsey perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Ramsey is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Warriors sees it coming and defends easily.

Ramsey is nestled in close to Warriors, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Ramsey tries to move to mount but Warriors blocks the move with his legs.
Ramsey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Warriors is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warriors gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Warriors is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Ramsey has latched onto it... Big trouble! Ramsey pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Warriors is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Ramsey!
