Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leon Pablo Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruslan Temirov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez moves into the clinch successfully.
Sanchez tries for a takedown but Temirov manages to get underhooks.
Sanchez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Temirov walks away with a smile on his face. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sanchez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Temirov is fending him off so far but Sanchez persists. Nope, Temirov circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leon Pablo Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sanchez throws a quick counter kick to the body but Temirov avoids it.

Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Temirov's waist but Temirov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side.

Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown but Temirov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanchez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Temirov jumps into guard, dragging Sanchez to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez keeps the fight on the outside.
Sanchez is looking for a counter combo.

Sanchez has Temirov up against the cage in a clinch.
Temirov tries to pull guard but Sanchez holds him up against the cage and eventually Temirov drops back down to his feet.
Temirov avoids the elbow strike from Sanchez, against the cage.
Sanchez is looking to take this one to the mat.
Temirov jumps guard but Sanchez stands there with Temirov around his waist. Temirov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sanchez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A little feinted left hand from Sanchez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Temirov looks to land a right hand but Sanchez moved out of range.

and Sanchez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

And that's the end of the fight!
Leon Pablo Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
