Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Massive Overflow (ranked 314 p4p, 45 weight class) and Samson Fortier (ranked 540 p4p, 78 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overflow takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fortier pivots, looking for a leg kick but Overflow is out of range and Fortier settles back down.
It looked like Overflow was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fortier.
Fortier lunges at Overflow with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Overflow's hand.
Overflow walks into a left hand.
Overflow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Overflow scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fortier pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Overflow is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Overflow waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Fortier.
Fortier tries to work over Overflow's front leg with a kick but Overflow checks it.
Fortier throws a nice outside leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fortier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Overflow fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fortier on the side of the head.
Fortier buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Overflow swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Fortier thows a leg kick but Overflow checks it
enabling Overflow to counter with a crisp jab.
Overflow drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fortier scores with a punch to the head.
Fortier throws a jab when Overflow was well out of range.
It looked like Overflow wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Fortier connects with a leg kick. Overflow looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Fortier swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Overflow counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fortier drops Overflow with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Overflow looks back up at him and smiles so Fortier waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Overflow is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fortier misses with a straight left.
A little feinted left hand from Overflow on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Fortier has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Fortier there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fortier bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Overflow's head backwards.
Oh Overflow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice defenses there by Fortier.
Overflow seems to have got his legs back now.
Overflow scores with a punch to the head.

Fortier is rocked!

and Overflow counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
