Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barney Phife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Levin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Levin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: This is the sort of bear I am. Barney Phife has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Levin as Phife shoots in.
Levin doesn't manage to clinch there - Phife circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Levin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Phife closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Phife lands in his opponent's guard.
Phife stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Levin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Levin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Phife stops Levin from standing up.
Phife trying to control the position from guard on top but Levin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Levin manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Phife circles away from the clinch attempt.
Barney Phife seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Levin wants to clinch up but Phife keeps it at a distance.
Phife lands a nice leg kick that just misses Levin's sensitive parts.

Some bone on bone action there as Levin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

No joy there for Levin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Phife shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Levin pinned against the cage. Levin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Levin wants to clinch up but Phife keeps it at a distance.

Levin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Phife paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Phife shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Levin but Levin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
