The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Walker misses with a looping left.
Walker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Walker cracks Maxwell with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Walker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maxwell throws a looping overhand right but Walker ducks down to avoid it.
Walker throws a hook but Maxwell avoids it easily.
Walker misses with an uppercut.
Maxwell let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

and Walker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Maxwell misses with a looping right.

Walker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Walker moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walker defending well as Maxwell loads up on a big left hand.
A little feinted left hand from Walker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Maxwell throws a hook but Walker avoids it easily.
Derek Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Walker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maxwell throws out the jab.
Walker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maxwell was well out of range. Poor timing from Walker.
Maxwell looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Walker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Maxwell counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Walker thinking.
Walker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Maxwell throws a hook but Walker blocks it.
Maxwell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Maxwell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Walker is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nice defenses there by Walker.
Walker swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
A lazy left from Maxwell finds it's target.

Maxwell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Maxwell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Walker is rocked!
Maxwell drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Walker right on the button. Walker goes down! Maxwell follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Maxwell gets the win via TKO!
