Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Hawk (ranked 4727 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Warfield (ranked 3981 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Adam Warfield was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Warfield!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk checks a low kick from Warfield.
Brett Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warfield scores with a decent looking hook.
Hawk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Warfield misses the jab.
Hawk half committed to a counter leg kick.

Warfield jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Warfield moves into the clinch.
Warfield tries to work over Hawk's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Hawk jumps guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Warfield stays in close to Hawk's body and controls the position.
Warfield wants to stand and escape but instead Hawk has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Hawk wants to pass the guard but Warfield is keeping the position.
Warfield is trying to control the position but Hawk postures up.
Hawk trying to control the position from guard on top but Warfield is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hawk prevents Warfield from getting back to his feet.
Warfield keeping moving, preventing Hawk from controlling successfully.
Warfield is pulling down on Hawk's head to control his posture.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hawk stands up over Warfield, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hawk moves out of range of the strikes.

Hawk tries to pull guard but Warfield won't allow it.

Hawk jumps guard but Warfield turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Hawk has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Warfield after a bit of a struggle.
Hawk is trying to break the clinch but Warfield is controlling him.
Hawk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Warfield walks away with a smile on his face. Hawk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Adam Warfield.
Hawk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hawk gets tackled into the cage by Warfield. Warfield maintains the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Warfield dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hawk is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Warfield to keep the fight standing.
Still in the clinch, Warfield scores with a nice short uppercut.
Warfield's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Warfield.
The referee is keeping an eye on Warfield - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Warfield lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Warfield.
Warfield lands with a light punch inside.


Hawk is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Warfield throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hawks head.
Oh Hawk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Warfield just leaning against Hawk, taking a breather.
Warfield dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Adam Warfield.
Warfield is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Hawk flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Hawk is out cold! Warfield holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Adam Warfield!
