Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tuan Fletcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Scott!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Scott wants to pass to mount but Fletcher is defending the position.
Fletcher is holding on to half guard well.

Scott postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Fletcher to stand up.

Scott closes the distance and clinches.

Fletcher drags the fight down to the ground.
Fletcher could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fletcher is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Scott is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scott decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Fletcher wants to stand back up but Scott manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fletcher is trying to get back to his feet. He's worked up on to his knees and now he's on his feet with his head on the canvas, trying to shake Scott off. It looks like it's working - Scott slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! Fletcher displaying calm under pressure there.

Fletcher gets tackled into the cage by Scott. Scott maintains the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Scott breaks from the clinch.

Scott drives through with a takedown into Fletcher's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Scott turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Scott throws a strike aimed at the side of Fletcher's head but Fletcher avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fletcher is trying to pull guard but Scott has him pressed against the cage.

Scott's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Scott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Scott shoots in and bounces Fletcher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fletcher is looking to stand back up but Scott counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Fletcher.

The fighters are battling for position here. Fletcher manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Fletcher utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Fletcher has his foot on Scott's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Scott works his way back into a safe position though.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Scott. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Scott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fletcher has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scott has managed to get both his arms back between Fletcher's legs - danger averted.
Fletcher wants to get back to his feet but Scott is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Scott has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fletcher is on top in guard.

Fletcher winds up and cracks Scott with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Scott has hold of Fletcher's hands but Fletcher slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fletcher is nestled in close to Scott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Fletcher is looking to cinch up a triangle. Scott throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Fletcher's body to avoid the submission. Fletcher has instead reached around Scott's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Fletcher arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
