Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Anatpong (ranked 6398 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Harrison (ranked 2905 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Anatpong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arnold Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anatpong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harrison pinned against the cage. Harrison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Anatpong connects with a leg kick. Harrison looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Anatpong will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Harrison clinches with his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harrison digs a right hand underneath Anatpong's ribcage. Anatpong let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Harrison keeps control of Anatpong as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A short body shot lands from Harrison as the two fighters clinch.
Harrison tries to score a body lock takedown but Anatpong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Harrison is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anatpong to keep the fight standing.

Harrison stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Harrison prevents Anatpong from breaking the clinch.
Harrison is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Anatpong tries to pull guard but Harrison forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Harrison drags the fight down to the ground.

Anatpong avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Anatpong wanted to stand there but Harrison had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harrison looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anatpong is one step ahead there.
Harrison doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Harrison is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Anatpong defends well.
Anatpong won't allow Harrison to get back to his feet.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Harrison trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Harrison misses with a few strikes there.

Harrison gets a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Anatpong's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Harrison is trying to break free.

Harrison pulls Anatpong into guard.
Harrison has his hands on Anatpong's head, controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anatpong pushing down on Harrison's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Anatpong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Anatpong trying to control from half guard but Harrison is working away.
Harrison tries to get to full guard but Anatpong has control of the leg.

Harrison is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Anatpong jumps into side control!
Anatpong tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Harrison is trying to buck Anatpong off.
Harrison tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Anatpong presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Harrison is squirming around, avoiding Anatpong's attempts to control the action.
Harrison is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnold Harrison dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Harrison has managed to clinch.
Harrison has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Anatpong avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Harrison is trying to force a seperation but Anatpong has the dominant position.
Harrison has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Anatpong wants to break free but Harrison has control.

Harrison jumps into guard, dragging Anatpong to the mat.
Anatpong looking to pass the guard.
Anatpong wants to get up but he can't break Harrison's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Harrison avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Anatpong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Harrison looking for a sweep. Not yet Harrison, not yet.
Anatpong trying to control but Harrison is working from the bottom.

Anatpong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Anatpong is looking to stand up but Harrison won't let him.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Anatpong throws a body shot but no joy.
Anatpong dives in for a single leg takedown but Harrison sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Harrison shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Anatpong napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Anatpong tries to bench press Harrison off him but Harrison keeps the position.

Harrison goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Anatpong has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Harrison but great work by Anatpong.
Harrison is trying to get back to half guard.
Harrison is still trying to improve position.
Marcus Anatpong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Harrison is trying to control Anatpong's posture but Anatpong avoids it.
Harrison regains half guard.
Harrison flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Anatpong is thwarting Harrison's attempts to control the position.
Harrison is trying is best to control the position here.

Anatpong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Harrison sees it coming and defends easily.
Anatpong tries to pass the half guard into mount. Harrison knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Harrison keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Anatpong missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Harrison desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Anatpong stalling away here and it's allowed Harrison to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Harrison pulls Anatpong in to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harrison is on top in guard.

Harrison tries to free his leg and advance position but Anatpong is retaining full guard.
Anatpong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Harrison's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Marcus Anatpong is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Anatpong tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harrison paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harrison is defended easily by Anatpong.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Arnold Harrison will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Harrison fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anatpong, pushing him back against the cage.
Anatpong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Harrison smiles and moves away.
Harrison works the jab nicely.
Anatpong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harrison rushes Anatpong and presses him up against the cage.
Anatpong tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Harrison avoids it.

Harrison breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Anatpong throws a sloppy head kick and Harrison moves out of range easily.
Anatpong is looking to clinch.
Anatpong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Harrison circles away from the clinch attempt.
A combination from Harrison does no damage.
Anatpong darts in trying to clinch
enabling Harrison to counter with a crisp jab.
Harrison will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Harrison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anatpong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harrison tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Anatpong trying to control but Harrison is working from the bottom.

Harrison looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Anatpong has picked Harrison up and slammed him! Harrison can't keep hold of the triangle and Anatpong manages to pass to side control!
Harrison has one of Anatpong's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Anatpong tries to stand but Harrison is controlling his head.
Anatpong fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Harrison holds on to Anatpong's head and controls the position momentarily.
Anatpong wants to stand but Harrison has his arm trapped.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Anatpong misses with a takedown

and Harrison counters by clinching up.

Arnold Harrison is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I've got Harrison winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
