The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaza lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Peterson doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Zaza to counter with a crisp jab.
Peterson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Peterson misses with a takedown attempt
and Zaza counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Antonio Zaza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gregory Peterson.

Peterson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Zaza clinches up with Peterson and pushes him back against the cage.

Peterson jumps guard but Zaza turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Zaza lands with a light punch inside.

Peterson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Zaza fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Zaza misses with a wild combination.
Peterson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Zaza catches Peterson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Peterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Zaza moves into the clinch.
Zaza throws a punch but it's blocked by Peterson.
Zaza lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Zaza pushes Peterson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Zaza gets through Peterson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Peterson is trying to pull guard but Zaza has him pressed against the cage.
Zaza fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Peterson jumps guard but Zaza turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Zaza lands a hook that snaps the head of Peterson backwards.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Zaza.

Zaza swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Zaza misses with some punches.

Peterson can't get the takedown.
Zaza lands a right hand.
Zaza lands with a left to the head.

Peterson is working for takedown but Zaza is calmly controlling the position for now.

Peterson decides to pull guard.
Peterson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zaza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peterson on the ground.

Zaza wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Peterson's closed guard. He's half up but Peterson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Peterson pivots and extends the arm, Zaza falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Peterson! Well done that man!
