Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Payne (ranked 3066 p4p, 374 weight class) and Shock Master (ranked 4158 p4p, 459 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Payne closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Master is trying to drag Payne to the mat but Payne just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Master tries to throw a body punch but Payne avoids it by throwing Master back against the cage.

Master rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Payne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Payne closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Master quickly recovers to half guard.

The fighters circling - Master throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
